Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Redwood State Staff Portal ("the Portal"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Portal. These terms apply to all users, including staff members and community members using the verification system.

2. Description of Service

The Portal provides staff management tools for the Redwood State ER:LC community, including but not limited to: staff roster management, moderation logging, shift tracking, leave management, announcements, developer project tracking, and community member verification through Discord and Roblox account linking.

3. Account & Authentication

• You must authenticate using your Discord account to access the Portal
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Discord and Roblox accounts
• You must not share your session or allow others to access the Portal through your account
• Staff access requires approval from a portal administrator
• Community verification links your Discord and Roblox accounts for identification purposes

4. Staff Member Obligations

As a staff member with Portal access, you agree to:

• Use the Portal only for legitimate staff duties related to the Redwood State community
• Log moderation actions accurately and honestly
• Not abuse your permissions or access level within the Portal
• Keep any information viewed through the Portal confidential where appropriate
• Report any security vulnerabilities or misuse to administrators
• Follow the community guidelines and rules set by server leadership

5. Community Member Verification

• By verifying, you consent to your Discord and Roblox accounts being linked in our database
• Verification may result in automatic Discord role changes (adding verified role, removing unverified role)
• You must only verify accounts that you own — impersonation is strictly prohibited
• Verification data is used solely for community management and identification

6. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Portal or its systems
• Use the Portal to harass, bully, or discriminate against any individual
• Submit false moderation reports or fabricated evidence
• Attempt to manipulate or exploit the verification system
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Portal without authorisation
• Share confidential staff information with unauthorised individuals
• Impersonate another user or use someone else's accounts for verification

7. Intellectual Property

The Portal, its design, code, and content are the property of the Redwood State community leadership. ER:LC (Emergency Response: Liberty County) is a product of Roblox and its respective developers. Discord is a trademark of Discord Inc. Roblox is a trademark of Roblox Corporation. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Roblox Corporation or Discord Inc.

8. Termination & Suspension

• Staff access may be revoked at any time at the discretion of server leadership
• Violation of these terms may result in immediate removal from the Portal and the community
• Community verification may be revoked if terms are violated
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account without prior notice if misuse is detected

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Portal is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Portal will be available at all times, free of errors, or secure from all threats. We are not responsible for any data loss, service interruptions, or damages arising from the use of the Portal.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Redwood State and its administrators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Portal.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Portal after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
